This running route in Glasgow takes you from the West End to the Southside and back via the City Centre.
Meet your pals at the Botanic Gardens and head down to the river. Follow the Kelvin Walkway to the Riverside Museum, crossing the Millenium Bridge over the Clyde and past Glasgow Science Centre. Take a right and make your way to Ibrox then through Bellahouston and Pollok Parks. Exit Pollok Park and cross the road to run down the long St Andrews Drive, taking a left at Shields Road and onwards to West Street Subway Station (it’s a bit like running the Great Scottish Run in reverse).
From West Street it’s back over the River Clyde at the Squiggly Bridge and prepare yourself for a big climb up West Campbell Street. Once you make it to the top, follow the underpass at Cowcaddens Subway, taking a left past the flats and up to the canal. After 3 miles on the canal, snake your way down to rejoin the River Kelvin following it downstream back to the Botanics.
Enter the Botanics from the Kirklee side to complete the loop and have a well earned coffee and cake at The Tearoom at the Botanics, or head for something a bit stronger on Byres Road.
