Route information

Organised by the Kirkintilloch Olympians, this popular race usually takes place in the cold and wet at the start of the year. With 12 hills crammed into the 12.5k route, it’s a testing but satisfying challenge.

Starting on Gartshore Road behind Gartconner Primary School, you take off and begin your first slight climb into the countryside. There are no pavements on the route until you come back down past Woodilee Village but then it’s not long until your climbing back up and out into the country again.

You complete your loop before calling upon all your reserves to try and push for the finish back at the school.

It’s a great race and usually at a great price too. The roads are quiet and marshaled during the race, so be careful when running at other times.
